AI & automation

The admin that eats your evenings, handled while you work

This is not enterprise AI. It is a short list of small, dull jobs that a one-person or small business does badly because there is nobody spare to do them: chasing quotes, answering the same questions, replying to a missed call, keeping your opening hours right in three different places.

Each one can run on its own, quietly, from information you have already given us. You keep control, and anything it cannot handle comes straight to you.

What we actually automate

Chasing quotes and enquiries

Most work is lost in the gap between sending a quote and hearing back. Not because the price was wrong, but because nobody followed up. That follow-up can happen on its own.

  • A polite nudge a few days after a quote goes out, and again later if there is still no reply.
  • New enquiries acknowledged straight away, so the customer knows they have reached a real business.
  • A simple list of what is outstanding, so nothing sits forgotten in your inbox.
  • Stops the moment the customer replies or the job is won or lost.

Online booking and reminders

If your work runs on appointments, the diary is the business. Booking should take a customer two taps, and the appointments they book should actually happen.

  • Booking straight from your site, with no account to create.
  • Slot lengths that match the job rather than one generic half hour.
  • Reminders before the appointment, which is the cheapest way to cut no-shows.
  • A rebooking prompt at the right interval, for work that repeats every few weeks.

Missed calls and out-of-hours enquiries

You cannot answer the phone with your hands full, and plenty of enquiries arrive at nine in the evening. A missed call with no reply is usually a customer who has already rung someone else.

  • A missed call gets a message back with your hours and a way to book or leave details.
  • Evening and weekend enquiries get an immediate reply rather than silence until Monday.
  • Details captured properly the first time: what they need, where they are, when suits.
  • Urgent or unusual enquiries flagged to you rather than parked in a queue.

Answering the questions you answer every day

Every small business has five or six questions that make up most of its enquiries. Prices, availability, area covered, what you do and do not take on. Those can be answered from your own information, at any hour.

  • Answers based on your prices, your hours and your service area, not generic guesses.
  • Says it does not know and hands over to you rather than making something up.
  • Turns a question into a booking or an enquiry, not just a conversation.
  • You keep the transcript, so you can see what customers actually ask about.

Keeping listings and opening hours consistent

Wrong opening hours cost more custom than a dated website. Hours live in several places at once, and they drift apart the moment anything changes.

  • One place to change hours, address and contact details.
  • Bank holidays and seasonal hours handled before they cause a wasted journey.
  • A prompt to update your listings when something changes, so search, Maps and your site agree.
  • Name, address and phone number consistent everywhere, which also helps local search.

How we approach it

Sized for one person, not an enterprise

No dashboards to learn, no platform to administer, no monthly seat fees for a team of one. Each tool does one job and stays out of the way.

Built on your information

Your prices, your hours, your patch, your process. Nothing invented, and anything it cannot answer comes to you.

You can always take over

Every automation can be paused or handed to you mid-conversation. Customers who want a person get a person.

Start with one problem

Usually missed calls or unchased quotes. Fix that, see whether it earns its keep, then look at the next one.

TODO: examples of automation in use, once there are real ones to describe.

What it costs

The website is £1,000 as a one-off, and £250 per year covers hosting, domain, professional email and security, fully managed. Apps and AI are on quotation, because the right answer depends on which part of your week is the problem.

Common questions

Will customers know they are not talking to me?

Yes, and that is deliberate. It is presented as an assistant for your business that can answer common questions and take details, and it hands over to you when it should.

What does it cost?

Apps and AI are quoted per job, because what a one-van business needs is not what a shop with three staff needs. The website is £1,000 one-off and the hosted and managed service is £250 per year; automation is priced on top of that once we know the job.

Do I need a new website first?

Not always. Booking, reminders and missed-call handling can sit alongside a site you already have. It is simpler when the site is one we manage, but it is not a requirement.

What if it gets something wrong?

It works from information you have given us and is set up to hand over rather than guess. You see the conversations, so anything that reads badly can be corrected.

Where do I start?

Tell us the part of the week that wastes the most of your time. We will tell you honestly whether it is worth automating, and what it would take.

Which job would you hand over first?

Tell us the part of the week that wastes the most time. We will say plainly whether it is worth automating.
